Crankworx Rotorua is a world-renowned bike festival that kicks into gear each year in March. With a week of non-stop events, there is sure to be something for you to check out. At Rotorua Canopy Tours, we have a lot of keen mountain bikers, plus we love to get involved in local events. Read below for more information on what you can include in your action packed weekend at Crankworx Rotorua.
Crankworx began in Whistler Canada in 2004 and has transformed into a multi-stop international series which includes Rotorua. The competition sees the best mountain bikers compete against each other in a range of disciplines, and there's also racers for amateurs and kids.

The city of Rotorua is no stranger to Crankworx, having now hosted the event for five years. With the events spread between the Skyline Gravity Park and the Whakarewarewa Forest, there is every reason to head along and watch. There will be international exhibitors such as Mons Royale and local exhibitors such as Torpedo7, plus biking celebrities.

Fun for all ages:
Crankworx Rotorua hosts more than just elite events, there's also kidsworx and activities for the little ones as well! The kids can participate in scavenger hunts and bike around the Kidsworx arena (designed for children 12 and under).
There's also the Kidsworx series, perfect for young riders! The entire week is dedicated to coaching the young ones and offering them a taste of competition. Designed for 12 years and under, its the perfect way to have an outdoors activity. You'll need a General Admission ticket for this but the kids participate for free!

If you're looking to simply get a fix of adrenaline and excitement, without going crazy down a hillside, you can buy a General Admission ticket and watch the action unfold. The ticket gives you access to all events across all 5 days, you can leave and arrive as you please and catch as many events as you wish.
